Biography

Alyssa Quijano, a New Mexico native, received her Bachelor of Arts and Law degrees from the University of New Mexico. Alyssa became involved in the world of criminal defense beginning in high school, working as a legal assistant for a contract public defender. In college, she worked as a legal assistant for Elite Paralegal Service assisting in criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, and civil rights litigation.

After completing her first year of law school, Alyssa was hired as a law clerk at Coyte Law, P.C. where she learned the intricacies of civil rights litigation. Alyssa continued working at Coyte Law, P.C. until 2021, primarily representing individuals whose rights were violated within New Mexico's prisons and jails. Alyssa has dedicated her legal career to representing victims of misconduct by law enforcement and government officials.
